The Just Jam project was initially hosted at one of London’s most legendary basement clubs, The Alibi. The first series of “Just Jam” was hosted here for 16 weeks. The live streaming element of Just Jam brought something new to the scene. It allowed fans of grime to experience their favourite artists at a rave, for free, all without leaving their armchair.
It opened up certain elements up the UK’s underground music scene that were previously enjoyed only by local ravers. “The first few weeks of Just Jam were quiet,” says Tim and Barry. “But after a while we had people queuing up outside all the way down the street.” With artists as diverse as Toddla T and D Double E, before long, Just Jam racked up over 6 million views on YouTube.
