The Live Streaming Format That Changed Everything

Launched in 2010, Just Jam redefined how live music could be seen and experienced online. Originally filmed at The Alibi, it captured the raw, unfiltered energy of underground artists performing in front of a live audience. As other platforms began to mimic this aesthetic, Tim & Barry once again changed the game — this time by creating a visual language so bold and technically unique it was nearly impossible to imitate. Artists performed live in front of green screens, filmed with hacked, homemade editing systems using multiple cameras, live VFX, and no rehearsals. Just Jam became a global cult platform for experimental and underground music.

From grime to footwork, Just Jam blurred the lines between live performance, DIY broadcast, and experimental visual art — influencing everyone from Boiler Room to COLORS and NTS.
